With each and every year that passes we continue to hone our craft and learn more about how to deliver flawless service to our customers.

Our renowned customer service approach is often imitated but never duplicated. That’s because we built Cyprus from the outside in—we designed our company to revolve around customer satisfaction instead of company profits. Our founder Demetrios Demetriou understood from the beginning that if we can keep our customers happier than any of our competitors, we will do just fine as a business. We pride ourselves on our immense commitment to your satisfaction but we do ask you to not take our word for it—let us prove it to you.

Our employees are the lifeblood of our business. American business pioneer Andrew Carnegie famously said “Take away my factories and take away my money—but leave me my people, and in two or three years I will have them all again”. The bottom line is that a company is only as good as its employee. That’s why we only interview the top 10% of applicants for job openings, and only hire those that are clearly a cut above the rest. We then go through rigorous background screenings and drug tests to make sure no stone is left unturned. Our technicians are almost exclusively NATE- certified (North American Technician Excellence) technicians who have successfully passed rigorous examination from the nation’s largest nonprofit certification organization for HVACR technicians, designed to validate the professional competency of service and installation technicians.

With process comes predictability. Luckily for you, we’ve had the opportunity to perfect our process over the past 50+ years so that becoming a customer doesn’t mean becoming a part of an experiment. We don’t just wing it when we get a service call or when we sign a new customer. We’ve used our rich history to build a bonafide archive of best practic-es for every conceivable situation, so that no matter what comes our way, we have a tried and tested process that’s been proven to work flawlessly from start to finish.

The DC Metro area isn’t simply a region that we provide with air and heating services. Our owners and employees are long-standing members of this community. This is the place we all call home, and we’re committed to the better-ment of our community in every way. We all have families and many of us have children and grandchildren. We’re committed to doing everything in our power to preserve the health of our planet for our children and our children’s children. If you work with Cyprus (of even if you don’t!) you can rest assured that every disposal, clean-up, or other project is done in an vironmentally-conscious fashion. In other words, we’re committed to recycling the recyclables, composting the compostables, and only sending items to landfill if there’s absolutely no other sustainable place for it. We’re even willing to assist you and our competitors for free in the event that you end up purchasing from one of our competitors and want to ensure the cleanup is handled in an environmentally-friendly manner.
